EDWARD L. MADDEN

Edward L. Madden, a former employee of The Patriot Company, died Monday at St. Anne's Hospital, Chicago, following an illness of two years.

Mr. Madden, who was the son of the late Michael and Annie Madden 1718 1/2 North Fifth street, began his newspaper career on the old Harrisburg Morning Call. He later moved to Chicago, where he was employed by the Chicago Tribune.

He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Morris S., Charles, Miss Margaret, Miss Alice Madden, and Mrs. George H. (Ellen) Sourvier, all of this city.

Service will be held Thursday morning in the Church of the Resurrection, Chicago.
