Mrs. Anna B. Madden, 76, widow of Michael J. Madden, and for seventy years a resident of this city, died this morning at her home, 1718 1/2 North Fifth Street.

She is survived by the following children: Edward L. Madden, of Chicago; Maurice F. Madden, Charles A. Madden, Miss Annie M. Madden, Mrs. George M. Sourbier, Mrs. Margaret E. Madden and Miss Alice M. Madden, all of this city; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sullivan, of this city; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, when requiem high mass will be celebrated. The Rev. W. V. Dailey will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The body may be viewed on Monday after 12 o'clock noon.

Mrs. Madden, who was born in Tipperary County, Ireland, was one of the oldest members of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Anna B. Madden, 76, widow of Michael J. Madden, and one of the city's oldest residents, died early today in her home, 1718 1/2 North Fifth Street. She came to Harrisburg from County Tipperary, Ireland, seventy years ago and had lived in this city since that time.

Her husband, Michael J. Madden, who died six years ago, was one of three Harrisburg Civil War veterans to be given the Congressional Medal of Honor for distinguished gallantry in the Civil War. The action which brought him the honor was his swimming of the Potomac River with a wounded Union soldier upon his back.

Mrs. Madden had been a member of the St. Marys Catholic parish since it's establishment. Surviving are her three sons, Edward L. Madden, of Chicago and Maurice F. Madden and Charles A. Madden, this city; four daughters, Miss Annie M. Madden, Miss Margaret E. Madden, Miss Alice M. Madden and Mrs. George H. Sourbier; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sullivan; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Requiem High Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. W. V. Dailey, Tuesday morning, at 9 o'clock, in the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be made in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The body may be viewed Monday afternoon.
