Son of the late Gabriel and Dolly Ann Maxwell McKissack; uncle of Lewis Winter, Lemuel H., Calvin Arthur, Samuel and Deberry McKissack, all of Nashville, Tenn., and Moses McKissack, IV of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Charlotte Deberry Tracy, Bedford Hill, New York, Mrs. Anne Deberry Johnson, Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Anne M. Brown, Pulaski, Tenn.; six great-nephews; 11 great-nieces; seven great-grandnephews; one great-grandniece; brother-in-law of Mrs. O'Neal McKissack of Memphis, Tenn. Remains will be at his residence, 1503 Edgehill Ave., after 6 p.m. Monday where Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Fraternity, Inc., ceremonies will be held at 9 p.m. Remains will lie in state at Fisk Memorial Chapel Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m., at which time and place funeral services will be held; Bishop Julian Smith, Rev. Charles Winfrey and Rev. Wilson Q. Welch officiating. Honorary pallbearers: Stewards and trustees of Capers C. M. E. Church, trustees of Fisk University, members of Agora Assembly, Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, National Technical Association, firms of McKissack and McKissack Inc., the 21 Club, Giles County Club and the Knights of Pythias.
