Abraham McKissack Dies; Funeral Director
PULASKI, Tenn. - Abraham McKissack, 70, Negro funeral director here, died yesterday in Giles County hospital after several weeks of illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Campbell's Chapel Negro Methodist church, of which he was a member. The Rev. S. W. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery here.
Mr. McKissack was a native of Giles county. His parents were Gabriel and Dolly Maxwell McKissack. He had owned and operated Queen Anne Funeral Home here for the past 25 years. Previously, he was in the building contracting business with his father. He was a Mason.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Anne McKissack, Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Maxwell and Mrs. Mary F. Utley, Pulaski; and two brothers, Calvin McKissack, Nashville architect, and Tom McKissack, Cleveland, Ohio.
