Betty Read Taylor, 78, died yesterday in Tucson, AZ after a short illness.

Mrs Taylor was born in New York City and spent most of her life in Purchase, NY, before moving to Arizona about 15 years ago.

She was founding President of the Arizona Chapter of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America; President of the Homecrafters Inc. Arizona Training and Work Adjustment Center; and was past President of the Architectural Barriers Action League.

She is survived by her son, Duncan Read Taylor of Tucson; two grandchildren, Duncan Read Taylor Jr and Nathaniel Taylor
Brother, Duncan H Read of Middleburg, VA

Memorial services in Tucson and then in Rye NY.
