Herbert A. Fegan, 61, Crottlestown Rd., died Thursday, Oct, 22, 1981, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born Oct. 18, 1920 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Leo S. and Mary Catherine Andrews Fegan.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Shippensburg and was an Army veteran of WW II. He was Commander of Disabled American Veterans, Charles McCleary Post 78 and was a member of the Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart and a Presidential Citation, and the European-African -Middle East Service Medal with one Bronze Star. He was also a member of Full Gospel Business News Association and had been employed for more than 30 years by T.B. Wood's Sons, Inc.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Virginia Gamber Fegan; a son, Dennis H. of Chambersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Denise) DeMarco of Mechanicsburg; one grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Culberston of Chambersburg, Mrs. Walter (Mildred) Green of Georgia; Mrs. Clayton (Dorothy) Ehrhart of Greencastle; one brother, Frank of Chambersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
