RUTH CLINE

Ruth D. Cline, 88, formerly of Portsmouth, died Saturday, May 27, 1996 at Erie County Care Facility in Sandusky.
Born Feb. 10, 1908, in Elliott County, Ky., a daughter of the late Mark and Florence Sturgill, she was a restaurant manager for 40 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Cline in 1976, she is survived by a son, Ronald Darby of Columbus; two daughters, Margaret Elam of Fontana, Calif. and Carrie Sowards of Lakeside-Marblehead; a sister, Alma Miller of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She is also preceded in death by three sons, Mark, Lee and Jack Cline; a grandson, Chris; three brothers; and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sunset Garden Cemetery in Franklin Furnace. There will be no visitation.
