The deceased was born in Germany in 1837 and in the sixties came to America, shortly after locating in the town of Charlestown where, with the exception of a short time, when he made his home in this city, he resided until moving to Sheboygan in 1892. His death was due to old age.
He is survived by a widow, four sons, Hans of Germany, Detlef of Hamilton, Claus of Hegewisch, Ill. Adolph of Chicago and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Achenbach of this city, Mrs. Carl Ramer (sic) of Sheboygan.
The funeral was held at Sheboygan on Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the home of his son-in-law, Carl Ramer. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Achenbach and son, Arthur of this city attended.
