ASHEBORO - Sarah Ada Helms Byrd, 81, of 201 Dundee St., Asheboro, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at Randolph Hospital.Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Amity Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Barry Wall officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.She was a native of Richmond County, the widow of Burl Adam Byrd and a retired cafeteria worker of Asheboro High School.Surviving are 1 daughter ; 3 sons; sisters, Letha Graham, Exie Puckett; brother, Hayne L. Helms; five grandchildren.
