He was taken by Derfelt ambulance to St. John's hospital in Joplin,
where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr. LaTurner had been dismissed one week ago from the University of Kansas Medical center, Kansas City, Kan. He had been ill for several years.
He was employed by Eagle-Picher Company until several years ago when his health began to fail.
Born September 13, 1908, in Galena, he had resided there all his life.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Cora LaTurner, of the home; one
daughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Frazier, Galena; two brothers, Paul LaTurner and William LaTurner, and one sister, Mrs. Louise Epperson, all of Galena, and two grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Derfelt funeral home.
