Since CPW Anderson was given three names, she was listed by her initials only, on her tombstone. She was the daughter of Catharine (Fokes) Anderson and William Pinkney Anderson. Her grandmother was Abagail (McLennan) Fokes. Her father W.P. was in the Civil War in the Hoods Texas Brigade ( Co G Milam Co Greys.) He was killed in the Battle of Gettysburg, on July 2, 1863 at age 25. Leaving behind his wife Catharine, two sons, John and Robert and little one year old daughter.C.P.W. Catharine never re-married. Catharine's father, John Fokes died before her family got to Milam Co Tx from Pensacola Florida. They were the early settlers in Milam Co Tx.in 1835.
