Leonard John Schullery, 81, died Wednesday.

He was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Hazelton, Pa. A retired merchant mariner, he was an 11-year resident of Pahrump, a former resident of Las Vegas and a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Legion and the High Rollers Chapter of Merchant Marines Retirees.

He is survived by his brother, Ed of Newhall, Calif.; and sister, Louise Linscott of Nashua, N.H.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Neptune Society of Nye County, Pahrump.

Leonard Schullery

Services for Leonard John Schullery, 81, who died Jan. 1 in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Neptune Society of Nye County Chapel, 720 Buol Lane, Pastor Tom McAdam presiding.

He was born Dec. 27, 1921 in Hazleton, Pa., and moved to Pahrump in 1991, coming from Las Vegas. He served 32 years with the Merchant Marine (Coast Guard).

He belonged to the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Legion, and was a retired member of the Merchant Marine High Roller Chapter, Las Vegas.

His brother Ed (Josephine) Schullery of New Hall, Calif., and sister Louise Lincott of Nashua, N.H., survive him.

Neptune Society of Nye County handled the arrangements. (01/01/03)
