She was united in marriage to Paul J. Augsburger on January 18, 1942, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2016.
Edith was faithful member of the Berne Evangelical Church; where she was active in the church choir, a sponsor of the youth group, served pianist in the church, and also a member of the Ladies Aide.
She worked in the office of Dr. Robert Boze for many years as an insurance advocate and receptionist. She was also employed at the Faith and Life Book Store in Berne.
Edith was a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending her free time gardening, baking, reading, and hosting people within her home. She also was very talented at needlepoint work.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Rozanne) Augsburger Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, John (Lynette) Augsburger of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four grandchildren, Steven Augsburger, Marc (Juliet) Augsburger, Shonda (Aaron) Wilber, and Mandy (Nick) Miller; nine great-grandchildren, Cameron Augsburger, Samantha Augsburger, Chayse Waldroff-Augsburger, Jasper Wilber, Jaida Wilber, Elias Miller, Emory Miller, Josiah Miller, and Selah Miller; and two step great-grandchildren, Robert Wyeth and Nicky Wyeth.
Edith was preceded in death by a son, Stan Augsburger, a grandson, Jonathan Augsburger and four brothers, Harvey Habegger, William Habegger, Herman Habegger, and Edward Habegger.
In light of the current health concerns of the Coronavirus, private family services and burial have been selected. A public memorial service will be determined at a future date following the current health concerns.
Preferred memorials can be made to Swiss Village Samaritan Fund or Berne Evangelical Church.
