GIRL BURNED TO DEATH

A serious accident happened at Red Land, near Silver City ferry, last Saturday when Miss Robbie Vanhoo (Sic) {the name was Vanhoose}, about 14 years old was burned so severely she died Sunday and was buried Monday at Forest Hill.

She was the daughter of Mrs. Luther Semons (Sic) {the name was Simmons}, of that place.

A small bucket of gasoline was carried out to the car and a small boy poured some of it on the ground and set fire to it and then kicked the bucket over on the girl's clothing and she burned to death before her clothing could be put out.

People will, maybe, learn the danger of gasoline some of these days. The friends and people in general sympathize with the mother and other relatives.
