Bertha E. Alford, of McComb, MS, age 90 years, died on September 2, 1979, at 3:35 p.m. in the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Wife of the late Jacob E. Alford of McComb; daughter of the late John J. Egloff and the late Josephine Brunnert Egloff of New Orleans; sister of the late Herman R. Egloff, the late Henrietta Egloff McBride and the late Marie [sic Mary] Louise Egloff all of New Orleans and the late Julius J. Egloff of New Iberia.
Survivors include 4 sons, Jacob E. Alford of Metairie, LA, Warren Alford of Pass Christian, MS, Louis Alford and Julis [sic Julius] Alford both of McComb, MS; step daughter, Mrs. Ella Quin Alford Nixon [sic Mixon] of Jackson, MS; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb, MS on Tuesday, September 4, 1979 at 10:30 a.m. with interment in Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Roy Riviere and Rev. N. A. Dickson. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
