Mrs. Clinton H. Grona nee Erline Alvira Nebgen of Fredericksburg passed away on Friday, March 13th at the age of 91 years.
Erline Alvira Nebgen was born on November 25th, 1928 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Paul L. and Ella Mary Jung Nebgen
She married Clinton H. Grona on June 7, 1950 in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fredericksburg, Texas
Erline was a graduate of St. Mary’s School and sang in the choir.
She married Clinton Grona in June of 1950. They moved to Morris Ranch where she lived until her death.
Erline had a passion for gardening. She loved working in her yard and one of her greatest joys were her flowers.
Erline was a strong-willed, independent woman and a very loving and kind person. She had a smile that could light up a room. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Mrs. Erline Grona is survived by daughter: Gwen Kaiser of Abilene
Six grandchildren: Teri and Tommy Hoyt, Phillip and Lindsey Grona, Estella Pacheco, Stacey Grona, Andrea and DJ Bradshaw, Fathom Kimes
Nine great grandchildren
Along with her husband and parents, Erline was preceded in death by a son: Stanley Grona
Son-in-law: Greg Kaiser
Brother: Lawrence Nebgen
The body will lie in state in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 10 to 11 A.M. on Friday, March 20th with a Mass of Resurrection at 11 A.M.
Entombment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mausoleum
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in her memory to the SPCA, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund or to the charity of your choice
