Mrs. Myrtle L. Hodge, 34, wife of Calvin B. Hodge, Burley, died at the family home at 9:05 p.m., Tuesday after a long illness.
She was born July 20, 1913, at Rock Springs, Wyoming, a daughter of Harry and Louise Pierce. She lived at Ogden, Utah, before moving to Burley in 1928. Aside from her husband, she is survived by [three] children, Mrs. Frances Staker, James, Darrel, and Albert LaMar Hodge, all of Burley. One grandson and the following brothers and sister, Albert Pierce, Burley; Jack Pierce, Russellville, Kentucky; Mrs. Thelma Sweeney, Oakland, Calif.; and a half-brother, George Brennan, Burley, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Burley Third Ward L.D.S. Church, with Bishop Lawrence Tolman officiating. Burial will be made at Burley under direction of Vern McCulloch. ("Myrtle L. Hodge, Young Burleyite, Dies At Residence", The Burley Bulletin.)
