Marlow - Funeral for LESTER T. COLLINS, 74, Marlow, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Ragland officiating.
Mr. Collins died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at his home.
Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Elmore City, to George Garland and Nettie Viola Witt Collins. He lived in Marlow for most of his life and graduated from Marlow High School in 1947. He married Mary Lou Dizmang on June 30, 1950, in Duncan. He retired from Halliburton as a research line foreman in the Mechanical Research Department, and was a member of the Marlow Planning and Zoning Commission.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Dixie Collins, Tulsa, Kent and Elizabeth Collins, Duncan, and Robert and Bunny Collins, Marlow; three sisters, Joan Collins and Ruth Walker, both of Marlow, and Wanda Hester, Santa Ana, Calif.; a grandson, Michael Lynn Collins, Marlow; and two granddaughters, Lauren Day Collins, Duncan, and Allison Brooke Collins, Marlow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lyndell Collins and Glyndell Collins; and three sisters, Morene Empting, Marie Mazshall and Lorene Collins.
