Preceded in death by her husband, D.M. "Doc" Cossey. Helen married D. M. "Doc" Cossey in Cullman, Alabama, and they were longtime residents of Houston. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and the Ladies' Love Sunday School Class. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 9th at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Family Chapel with Rev. James Clark officiating.
Interment followed in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorials be made in Helen's name to the Park Place Baptist Church, 4101 Broadway, Houston, Texas 77087."
