Philip Victor Beaver, Sr. passed away April 25th, 2009.

He was born in Hunt, Texas on November 15th, 1939 to Ples Victor Beaver and Odie Emily Garner-Beaver.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Shirley Ann McDaniel-Beaver; four children: Philip Victor Beaver, Jr. and his wife Lynn Schaffer-Beaver, Ann Marie Beaver-Singer and her husband Timothy Arnell Singer, Darla Jo Beaver-Townsend, Scott Alan Beaver; six grandchildren Lauren Tara Beaver Bonds and her husband Richard, Amber Ann Townsend and her fiancé SSG Victor Jesus Rexach-Monroig, Ryan Scott McKnight and his wife Hayli, Eric James Beaver and his wife Tamara, Brandy Dawn Townsend-Newman, and Olivia Cheyenne Beaver. He also had four great-grandchildren: Lily Breann Townsend, Hannah Briann Newman, Avery Evangelyn Bonds and Arlo James Beaver. He is also survived by his mother Odie and siblings Stanley and his wife Doris, Della Crawford and her husband Rogell, Laverne Curtis and her husband Howard, Glen and his wife Marjorie.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Mitzie Allene Beaver; brother, James Lester Beaver; and father, Ples Victor Beaver.

Philip Beaver was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and upstanding man in the community. He regularly volunteered his skills to remodel churches in the Central Texas area, as well as the Sam Bass Theatre in Round Rock, supported Habitat for Humanity, and recycled before it was fashionable. He was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need.

The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional services provided by Gabriel’s Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas; and for the loving support of the Georgetown Church of Christ where Philip and Shirley have been members for thirty years.

Donations may be made to any area blood bank in Philip’s name. He was recognized and awarded for his consistent blood donations at the Scott and White Blood Center.
