Longtime lawyer,reared in Lamar Co.Texas.Died early Wednesday in Spartenburg,SC.
Relative's here were notified.He was a brother of Mrs J.W.Deweese and Miss Ula Ratliff,here.
The funeral,Thursday at 4pm,Spartenburg,SC.where burial will be made.
Mr Ratliff had fractured his hip several weeks ago,suffered a stoke afterwards.The son of the late Robert and Permelia(Craft)Ratliff.
Born in Lamar County at Glory.He practiced law and after moving to Delta Co.was elected county judge.Later practiced law 15-20 years in Lubbock.About 5 years ago,he and wife the former Mrs Mollie Hopkins moved to Spartenburg Co.He continued to practice law,until retirement.Preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.He is survived by his widow,3 daughters,several grandchildren.The two sisters here
and brothers George Ratliff of Abilene and Micheal C. Ratliff of Colorado City,Co.
