Arlene Nelson, 82, Minot, died Thursday, March 05, 2020 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Arlene Loretta was born September 24, 1937, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Richard and Sylvia (Kragness) Lee. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1955. She then attended Minot State University for a year.

Arlene was united in marriage to Wayne Nelson on October 13, 1952. They made their home in Minot. Wayne died on March 19, 2010. Arlene continued to live in Minot in the home that she and Wayne shared for over fifty years.

Her special interests included reading, shopping, and spending time with her special friend and companion, her cat, Jinx.

Arlene’s loving family includes her daughters Tana Lynn (Craig) Anderson, Minot, ND, Wendi Sue (Dennis) Dion, Minot and Deanna “TeeDee” Nelson, Minot; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Lonnie and brothers Donald Lee and Jim Alfstad.
