Funeral services for Bobby Gene Bailey, 87, of Haynesville, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Haynesville, LA with Rev. Andrew Abshire officiating. Interment will be in the Colquitt Cemetery in Colquitt under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Haynesville.
Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2020, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville, LA
Bobby was born May 29, 1932 in Summerfield, LA to Samuel Bailey and Ella Mills Bailey and passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Heritage Manor in Haynesville.
He was a member of the Three Creeks Baptist Church and retired from Arkansas Specialty Welding Supply. Bobby was a former volunteer fireman for the Claiborne Fire District # 6 and was a member of the Louisiana National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Bailey of Haynesville, LA, one daughter, Sharon Murray and husband Wallace of Bluffton, SC, one son, Robin Bailey and wife Linda of Crossett, AR, nine grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years, Joy Moore Bailey, four children, Jean Bailey, Bobby D. Bailey, Mark Bailey, and Sam Bailey, two grandchildren, Timothy Mark Bailey, Jr., Samantha Bailey and five siblings.
The family requests any planned memorials be made to the charity of the donors choice.
