Shirley A. Brumfield of Arlington, Indiana died Monday, July 30, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. She was 60.
Born Feb. 2, 1947 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Remy) Ratekin, both deceased.
She married Bobby E. Brumfield July 20, 1963; he survives.
Mrs. Brumfield spent her entire life in Rush County. She was a cook at various places including the Kopper Kettle, Rush Memorial Hospital, Rushville Elks Club and Raike's Diner. She owned the Arlington Inn for a few years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Rushville.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Bobby E. Brumfield Jr. of Rushville and Chris A. Brumfield (and wife Suzanna) of Raleigh; one daughter, Sandra Buchanan of Carthage; one brother, Raymond Hatfield of Rushville; one sister, Ida Kathleen Randall of Rushville; and seven grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother.
Services were Friday, August 3rd at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Herman Chaney officiating.
Burial: Arlington East Hill Cemetery, in Arlington, IN.
