GENEVIEVE CIARKOWSKI JABLONSKI, 81, of UNION BEACH, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was an "ultimate" homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Born in Jersey City, she lived there before moving to Union Beach 44 years ago.
She was predeceased by a son, John K. Jablonski, in 1982. Surviving are her husband, John S. Jablonski; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles K. and Gloria Jablonski of Merritt Island, Fla., and Wayne and Donnamarie Jablonski of Union Beach; a close family friend, Richard Meagher of Union Beach; a brother, Ben Ciarkowski of East Rutherford; a sister, Helen Bird of Cliffwood; five grandchildren, Susan Day, Charles, Lauren, and John Jablonski, and Joseph Adams; and four great-grandchildren, Marissa, Blaise, Sunny, and Fionn.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. A Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family R.C. Church, Union Beach. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Letters of condolence may be sent to [email protected].
