William Ott, 349 A Street, died yesterday at his home after a lingering illness at the age of 81 years.
Mr. Ott, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ott, retired several years ago as a night watchman at the Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Men's Bible Class of the Sunday School.
He is survived by five sons and three daughters, James B., Mechanicsburg; Clarence, Carlisle, R.D. 6; Webster, Harrisburg; Aaron, Carlisle; Bruce, Lydia and Helen, at home, and Mrs. Reed Kennedy, Greason; a sister, Mrs. Frank McManus, Huntsdale; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the J.R. Shulenberger Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday night at the funeral home.
