September 14, 1869, he was joined in wedlock with Agnes Burkepile, daughter of the late Henry and Hannah (Yockey) Burkepile, of Mannsville. Two children were born to this union; Milton L. who was killed in a railroad accident in Texas in 1906, and Elizabeth A., wife of John H. Sheaffer, of this place.
