Luke Dale died at 4 o'clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Lillian, in North street, where he was visiting. He had been in ill health for the past year. Two weeks ago he left his home in Dingle street to visit his daughter, where he died. Death was due to heart failure. Mr. Dale was born in England, 78 years ago the 15th of August. He came to this country when 20 years old, locating In Westmoreland. For many years he was interested in canaling on the Erie Canal. He came to this town several years ago locating on a farm on Dingle street Besides his wife the surviving children are John and Lillian Dale and Mrs. Kittie Root of this village and Charles Dale of East Florence.
