Margaret E Wright
Margaret Elizabeth, the oldest of the children (Parents were Edmund and Rachel Stoner Taylor-cs), was born on the old homestead on 30 Jan 1858, d- 31 Jan 1947. She first married William Sylvester Wright, the son of another pioneer family. He was born 17 August 1855 in Union County, Ohio, d-27 April 1921; buried in Stoner/Lloyd Cemetery, north of Mt Moriah, Missouri. This cemetery has always been the burial ground for the Taylor and Wright families.
They were certainly pioneer families, for at the time Mary Elizabeth and William were born, there were many panthers, deer, and wild turkeys to bornbe found along the streams! Harrison County was very sparsely settled at the time. William and his parents moved to Missouri shortly after his birth. His parents were David Miller Wright and Isabelle Gunn Lingrell-Wright.
Margaret's father gave them a tract of land for a home, after they had returned from Kansas, where they had lived for several years. This tract lay about two miles west of Mt Moriah. They made it their home for many years; but "Ves" as he was more familiarly known, secured a contract for carrying daily mail from Mt Moriah to Ridgeway so they moved to Mt Moriah where they lived until he died. After his death, she married Nathan Schoonover. She lived in Mt Moriah. Margaret Elizabeth and William Sylvester had nine children.
She passed away at the home of her son, Charles Elwood Wright in Gravette, Benton County, Arkansas.
