Annette was born in Ogden, Utah on Tuesday, 19 July 1949, to Ralph Checketts and Violet Ann (Thomas) Checketts Nicholls.
Annette married Wayne Cook at a young age. They had three amazing children together. Later, she and Wayne divorced. Annette then married Doyle Kerbs and had two more amazing children, but she and Doyle also divorced.
Annette worked at the IRS for nearly thirty years, where she met long-lasting friends. She loved her IRS bowling group.
One thing that is certain is that Annette loved and lived for her children. She always put her children first.
Annette LOVED the outdoors! She especially loved going to the sand dunes, camping, taking drives through the mountains, visiting Malad and Island Park in Idaho, exploring on the many trips she took, and enjoyed many other adventures when her kids invited her to join them.
Annette loved Elvis and had quite the Elvis collection. Whenever we see a pink flamingo, we will always think of her.
Annette is survived by her children, Shane Cook (Brandon Eiber), Wendi (Tony) Purdum, Anjanette (Darrell) Reese, Kenneth (Melanie) Kerbs, and Shauna (Kyle) Greer; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her sister, JoAnn Schow.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dennis Checketts, Diann Joos and Julie Checketts.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, 21 February 2020, in Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Boulevard, Ogden.
A Celebration of Life will follow from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. at the Jensen Nature Park Visitors' Center, 3176 South Bluff Road, Syracuse, Utah.
