Almeda "Annie" Adams was born on 05 August 1882 to Robert Lynch Adams and Nancy Miranda Wilson Adams.

Almeda appears in five Census records, and in a Dawes Census card. Four of the five census indicate she was born in Arkansas. One indicates she was born in Texas.

Almeda "Annie" Adams appears on the 1900 Census at the age of 17 years, in District 0141, Township 04, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, USA, with her parents and siblings. The microfiche copy of this record is partially illegible, at the place where this family is listed. The legible part for this family reads: Robert L Adams (53); Nancy M Adams (49); Annie A Adams (17); Arizona Adams (15); Grover C Adams (12); Nettie M Adams (12); Cora A Adams (12); Robert Adams .... Almeda's father Robert Lynch Adams filed an application to be recognized as Mississippi Choctaw, but the application was denied based on lack of documentary evidence. This application resulted in a Dawes Census card listing Robert and six of his children. Almeda "Annie" Adams is listed on this record. This Dawes Census card is stamped "rejected" from the process of reviewing the application/testimony of Robert Lynch Adams. He stated that his father, James M. Adams, had taught him that he and his sister named Charity were born to a woman named "Phenia" who was 1/4 Choctaw from Mississippi. (Of note: His father married second to a woman named Sarah Jane, and this union produced nine half-siblings to Robert Lynch Adams.)

Almeda "Annie" Adams married Walter Gray Hathaway. I do not have a record for this marriage, but other researchers have indicated the marriage to have been in Oklahoma on 29 January 1902.

Almeda "Annie" Adams Hathaway appears on the 1910 Census at the age of 26 in Wilson, Carter County, Oklahoma with her husband and three children. They appear as: Walter G Hathaway (35); Almeda Hathaway (26); Elmer Hathaway (7); Dessa Hathaway (4); Shelton Hathaway (1).
