MADISON- Aaron "Moose" Annen, age 32, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020. He was born on April 14, 1987, in Madison, the son of Cindy Annen and Michael Hinrichs. Aaron enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his kids. He was an amazing father and the pride he felt for his children was unsurpassed.

Aaron had accomplished so many great things in his young life. A few of those things are Karate Black Belt by the age of 10; he worked so hard for those competitions and received honors for it. He ran the after school daycare located inside St. Dennis school where he attended K - 8. He was selected for Varsity football his Sophomore year at La Follette High School and was voted Homecoming King. While at La Follette, he also enjoyed playing Rugby, Lacrosse and Basketball, graduating in 2005. Aaron volunteered for the Monona Coalition for the Blind and mentored kids younger and less fortunate.

Aaron joined the Army in October of 2010 and graduated 1st in his class at Fort Benning. He was selected 1st in his class for Vehicle Recovery Stryker training. Aaron received many badges, certificates, and honors for his services: Army Achievement Metal, National Defense Service Metal, Global War of Terrorism Metal, and Army Service Ribbon.
Aaron’s hobbies included soccer, working-out, and he loved playing disc golf with his friends any chance he could get. He loved to cook and was very good at it.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Cindy Annen; children, Jaxson Annen and Mirabella Annen; mother of his children, Lisa Peterson; sisters, Lissa Annen, Sydney (Alex Bower) Annen, Peyton Annen, Rachelle (Alex) Crabtree, Kristi Hinrichs, Jessica Hinrichs and Cheyanne Hinrichs; grandfather, Sylvester "Bear" Annen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Hinrichs; grandmother, Alice Annen; and nephew, Kaiden Annen.

A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020.
