Jimmie Ladene Mitchell, 83, of Talala died on February 17, 2002 at Heritage Villa Nursing Center in Bartlesville. Funeral services were held Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Nowata with Rev. James Edmison officiating. Interment was in Nowata Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. She was born on November 11, 1918 in Chelsea, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle Ina (Littrell) Crocker. She married Conrad Watson Mitchell on February 10, 1944 in Culver City, California. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Nowata Women's Club and American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband; her daughter, Carol Ann Inman; and her sisters, Evelyn Hope Bowman and Faye Laura Burnside. She is survived by her son, Tom Mitchell of Kingston; her daughter, Nancy Sweet of Talala; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
