Helen Louise Leggett Arthington, 87, passed into the life triumphant, 21 July 2007, at the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas. Interment will be in the Burkburnett, Texas, Cemetery on 31 July 2007.

Born in Wapella, Illinois, on 17 June 1920, she married her childhood sweetheart, Charles Edward Arthington on Christmas Day, 1942. They moved to Burkburnett in October 1949. He preceded her entry into heaven, 23 February 1989.

She was the mother of Marvin S. and William B. Arthington.

Also preceded in death by: sister, Inis Liggett Cooper and her eldest son, Marvin S. Arthington, a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

A member of the First United Methodist Church since 1950, she was involved with the United Methodist Women, The Fellowship Class and was a licensed Vocational Nurse.

Surviving are sisters, Marjorie Lamont (Illinois), Iona Klein (Washington), her son, William B. Arthington and his wife Rebecca Louise Klay Arthington, Wamego, Kansas. Her five grandchildren and their respective spouses are Andrea Dawn (Maris) and Les Pemberton of Dallas, Texas; Samantha Ann (Arthington) and Shawn Curtis, Arlington, Tennessee; Leah Michelle (Maris), and Alan Long, Durham, North Carolina; Eric Scott Arthington of Wamego, Kansas, and Elizabeth Spring (Dotson) and Bradley Scott Bohle, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren. They are Breanna Hope, Braelyn Aurora, and Jocelyn Aurelia Bohle; Dylan Michael and Addison Grace Curtis; Porter Xavier, Shantell Eileen and Isis Arieyona Arthington.

She continued a loving relationship with Linda Arthington in Kansas and Suzanne (Arthington) and Dr. Mike Maris of Tyler, Texas.
