He died in SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO, and was buried in a cemetery niche. His brothers sent the tombstone for the niche with the intention of repatriating the body back to the US Mainland, but never did. Eventually, Edward's bones were exhumed and buried with the bones of many other poor people in a common grave. Eventually, only the tombstone made it to the USA. (from [email protected])
