Alexandra A. Goettel, 86, of Fulton Street, died Monday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse , after a long illness.
A native of New York City, Mrs. Goettel lived in Constantia before moving to Central Square 63 years ago. She was a 1928 graduate of the Syracuse Univeristy School of Nursing.
Surviving are her husband, Vernon S.; a daughter, Grace Niland of White Plains; a son, Brig. Gen. M. Philip of Wilmington, Del.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Universalist Church of Central Square. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St.
Contributions may be made to the First Universalist Church of Central Square.
