Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Samuel Marcus, who died Tuesday night. He was 92.
Mr. Marcus, one of the founders of United Hebrew Congregation here, also belonged to the Mizrachi men’s organization. He helped support several Jewish charities in Jerusalem.
Born in Poland, he went to San Antonio, Tex., and from there came here. He lived in Indianapolis 65 years, dying in his home at 3516 Central Ave.
Surviving are Isadore and Harry Marcus of Indianapolis, his sons; Mrs. Adolph Baer of San Antonio, his daughter; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
