She was born in Louisville, Arkansas on the 12th of May, 1912, one of four children to G.E. Patton and his wife Mary Agnes King-Patton.
Although born in Arkansas, Mary spent most of her life in Houston, Texas where she started a 29-year career in nursing with Shell Oil until she retired in 1967.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Bonner; parents, G.E. and Mary Patton; brothers, Wood and L.B. Patton; and sister, Nona Patton-Whitehead.
She leaves behind her immediate family in Shreveport, Louisiana, many friends in San Marcos, Texas, and life-long close family friends, Harold Cornett and Richard Davidson.
