Afternoon

A heart attack early Monday morning proved fatal for Boone Norris, 58 years old, pioneer resident of Sayre. Mr. Norris had lived here for the past 20 years and had been in business during part of that time.

Sunday, Mr. Norris had suffered from a minor stomach ailment but apparently had recovered when he retired Sunday night. Monday morning he awakened and had lain down on a divan in the living room to read when he succumbed.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church, with Rev, J. D. Cunningham, pastor, officiating.

He is survived by his widow; one daughter. Mrs. Clarence Ewton; and his mother, Mrs. R. M. D. Norris of Bay Village, Ark. A granddaughter, Joy Ewton, of Sayre, three brothers and three sisters also survive.

Interment will be in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery with the Hullum-Wells funeral home in charge.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Methodist church, for Boone Norris, pioneer resident of Sayre, who died early Monday, with Rev. J. D. Cunningham, church pastor, officiating.

Mr. Norris, who had been a resident of Savre "for approximately twenty years, during which time he worked in the real estate and oil business. had recently been retive in the development of the il field between Erick and Sayre.

His survivors include his widow; one daughter. Mrs. Clarence Ewton, and one granddaughter, Joy Ewton, all of Sayre, His mother. Mrs. R. M. D. Norris of Bay Village, Arkansas, three brothers and three sisters, also survive. Mrs. Julia Norris, a wife by a former marriage preceded him in death in 1936.

Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery.

Funeral services for Boone Norris, well known and be loved Savre resident for the past 20 years. were held at 2:30 O'clock Tuesdav afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. J. D. Cunningham officiating.

Norris, a member of the Methodist church, died early Monday morning after a very brief illness. His death came as a shock to all of his relatives and friends.

He was a retired mercantile man and at one time was associated in business with J. A. Marica. He also was interested in real estate and Norris Heights addition to Sayre was named in his honor after he had planned it. Of late he had been actively interested in developing the Sayre oil field.

He leaves his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Faye Ewton; mother, Mrs, R. M. Norris, Bay Village, Ark.; a granddaughter and three brothers and three sisters. His wife by a former marriage, Mrs. Julia Norris, died in 1936.

Interment was made at the Sayre-Doxey cemetery by Hullum-Wells.
