Collettie Evelyn Cravens of Liberty died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009 at the Casey County Hospital. She was 68. Born on April 1, 1941 in Mintonville, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Coy and Nora Gadberry Cravens. She was a caregiver and homemaker and member of Ferndale Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Betty (and Jack) Robinson of Liberty and Glennis (and Dale) Foster of Bethelridge; a brother, Fred (and Kathy) Cravens of Morristown, Tenn.; three nephews, Gilbert Dewayne Cravens, J.C. Foster, and Brian Lee Cravens; and three nieces, Gloria Jean Hammond, Lisa Kaye Bland, and Sondra Gail Alexander. She was preceded in death by a sister, Daisy Cravens; and two brothers, Dewey and Winfrey Cravens. Graveside services were Aug. 31 at Spaw Cemetery. Bartle Funeral Home Liberty was in charge of arrangements.
