Mrs. Mendelssohn, who died suddenly yesterday morning at her home, 332 Whitridge Avenue, was 89. Born in Germany she married Ludwig Mendelssohn, who was director of the Conservatory of Music in Berline. After his death in 1921 she moved to Amsterdam and in 1939 she came to Baltimore to live with her son, Felix Robert Mendelssohn, cellist, and grandnephew of the noted composer.
In addition to Felix Mendelssohn, she is survived by another son, Walter Mendelssohn, of NY, a writer, and a granddaugher, Mrs. Albert Goldsmith, and a grandson, of New York.
