Amiel "Bullet" Crespi

Amiel “Bullet” Crespi, 93, of Herrin, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin.
Amiel was a retired truck driver for Southern Illinois Wholesale Company. Earlier in life, he worked as a pipefitter and a bartender. He was a faithful Notre Dame and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Amiel was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2164.
Amiel was born September 03, 1926 in Clifford, IL to Paul and Lena (Berra) Crespi.
Amiel was united in marriage with Dorthea Bailey on 1953 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Dorthea Crespi of Herrin; daughter, V. L. Crespi of Belleville, IL; sister, Geraldine of Portage, IN; niece and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Crespi; and sister, Olympia Fife.

The Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home in Herrin.
Burial will be in San Carlo Catholic Cemetery in Herrin.
