Elena Marie Bert Lowry, born December 28,1932, entered heaven on January 30th, 2020, after a long and courageous fight with ovarian cancer.
Elena was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Bruce. She leaves behind her children Michael, Joannette, and David, their wives and husband, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She leaves with sadness, but will be reunited with all. Her thanks go to her loving brothers and their wives who kept watch over her; her PVN friends, her primary care doctor, her amazing Baylor oncologist and nurse and finally her Baylor Ovarian Cancer support group for their help and friendship.
A visitation for Elena will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 9:00 am at Calvary Hill Cemetery North Chapel and a rosary will be recited at 9:30 am. A mass of Christian burial will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at Calvary Hill Cemetery North Chapel. A committal will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 am at Calvary Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow the committal Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in the Reception Room.
