INTERMENT WILL BE IN: PINE CREST CEMETERY IN DEKALB
VISITATION: 1 PM THURSDAY, JAN. 30TH TIL TIME FOR SERVICE

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Elizabeth (Liz) Thornton at 3 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Dekalb Baptist Church with Rev. James A. Ruffin officiating.
Interment in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM till time for service Thursday, January 30th at Dekalb Baptist Church. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge.
Mrs. Thornton, 88, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at Mississippi Care Center of Dekalb.
She was born in Electric Mills, MS.
She worked in West Kemper School System Cafeteria for many years. Her hobbies include playing dominos, bingo, embroidering and reading her bible. Mrs. Thornton was a member of Dekalb Baptist Church, church choir and handbell choir.
Preceded in death:
Parents, Clim Douglas Thomas and Farrah Mae Lang Thomas;
Husband, Joel Thornton;
Sister, Betty Mae Thomas Eldridge Henson;
Brothers, William Davis “Bill” Thomas and Jimmie Gray “Jim” Thomas.
Mrs. Thornton is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
A special “thank you” to the staff of Mississippi Care Center of Dekalb and Quality Hospice.
Pallbearers: Tommy Holland, Jimmy Buchanan, Austin Buchanan, Conner Buchanan, Kenneth Thomas, Tommy Eldridge.
Honorary pallbearers: Dave Thomas, Tyler Holland, Haley Holland.
