Mrs. Betty Eldridge Henson, 83, of DeKalb, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at her home.
She was a native of Kemper and longtime resident of the Cleveland Community.
She was a retired Chancery Clerk of Kemper County serving four terms.
Mrs. Henson was a member of Vardaman Baptist and Mellen Methodist churches in Kemper.
Her main focus and joy were her family, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include
her daughter, Sharon Kay Eldridge-Holland (Tommy) of Philadelphia;
son, “Tommy” James Thomas Eldridge (Shannon) of Hernando;
grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Holland, Tyler James Holland, Kennedy Claire Eldridge, Emory Kate Eldridge; sister, Annie Elizabeth Thornton of DeKalb;
and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by
her husbands, James Grady Eldridge and Harvey N. Henson;
son, James Daniel “Danny” Eldridge;
parents, Doug and Farrah Thomas;
and two brothers, Bill Thomas and Jimmy Thomas.
