LaMont “Butch” Flock, 81, of Cashton, WI, passed away at his home, Friday January 17, 2020. He was born July 14, 1938, on the home farm of Alphonse and Marie (Frederick) Flock. The farm was located in the town of Jefferson. Butch attended St. Mary’s Catholic School. September of 1966, he married his best friend Jane Barry. They were united in Holy Matrimony on St. Mary’s Ridge.
Butch was born and raised in farming. It was a tradition that he carried on for many years; his care for his land, animals and International Tractors kept him happy farming. Butch adored his family and enjoyed having family gatherings at their home in Cashton once he retired.
Butch is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane; two sons, Jeff Flock of Cashton; Todd (Jane) Flock and their kids Hunter and Saige all of Cashton; a sister, Rose Ann (Eugene) Hurtz of Rockland; a brother, Jim (Jeannie) Flock of Milton, WI; mother-in-law, Rita Barry; sister-in-law, Lavina Flock; brother-in-law, Ronald Becker; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Donald and Eugene Flock; sisters, Marcella (Jerome) Schreier, Carol Jean (Kenny) Kammel, and Ethel Becker; and his father-in-law, Gerald Barry.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020, 11:00 a.m. Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Ridge, WI. Father Klos will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, January 24, 2020, beginning at 4:00 PM and concluding with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton, WI. Visitation will also be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
