Evelyn Brackett Davis, 83, of Casar, NC passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at home.

Born October 22, 1936, in Cleveland County, NC; daughter of the late Andrew Cambell Brackett (1880–1961) and Jennie Ethel Whisnant Brackett (1893–1978); wife of the late George Jackson Davis (1928–1997).

Retired from Western Carolina Center; a member of Clover Hill United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include nephews, Richard Short (Amanda) and David Hastings; nieces, Donna Hastings, Paula Quinn, Norma Jean Cook, and Diane; one great-niece; two great-nephews; four great-great nieces; and two great-great nephews.

Also preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Ethel Brackett Short (1923–2013), Helen Brackett Newton (1924–1992), Betty Jo Brackett (1931–1992), Marianne Brackett Hastings (1933–2009), and Brenda Kay Brackett Seagle (1942–2010); half-sisters, Dessie Lillian Brackett Carpenter (1903–1996), Irene Elizabeth Brackett Phillips (1904–1990), Leona Brackett Pruett (1908–1979), Polly Doster; brothers, Wilbur Avant Whisnant (1915–2000); and half-brothers, Roy Landrum Brackett (1906–1971), Ruffin William Brackett (1910–1975), Willard Brackett Hewitt (1912–1957), Carmie A. Brackett (1915–1965); and Andrew Campbell Brackett (1917–1996).

Graveside service held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, at Clover Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Padgett officiating.
