Helen Thacker Crews-Edmunds, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away late Sunday night, January 12, 2020 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Helen was born December 21, 1946 in Pike County, KY, daughter of the late George Thacker and Marilyn Bartley Thacker.

She worked for many years as a professional real estate agent in the Lee/Russell community before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and sharing special moments and memories with all her family, especially her grandchildren. Her kind and gentle heart was evident to anyone who met her, as was her unwavering faith. She was a member of Oasis Christian Center.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Rick O. Edmunds, one son, Thomas and Gina Baker, one daughter, Marlain Peterson, two step-daughters, Kim Huckaby, and Heather and Brent Sobkowiak, two sisters, Wanda and Roy Cantrell, and Nancy Aslan, five brothers, Edmond and Fairley Deel, Paul and Rhonda Thacker, Walter Thacker, Jimmy and Debbie Thacker, and Donnie and Sherri Thacker .
