Mildred “Blanche” Carroll Maggard Flury, 86, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Wednesday January 8, 2019 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. Blanche was born March 9, 1933 a daughter of the late Willard James and Jennie Gill Carroll. In addition to her parents Blanche was preceded in death by her first husband, David “June” Maggard, her second husband, Edgar “Ed” Eugene Flury; two sons, David Wesley Maggard and Paul Daniel Maggard; four brothers, Charlie, Willard, Donald and Curtis Carroll; four sisters, Mary Eddy, Edna Newland, Lucille Heaberline and Jewell Fite, and a grandson, Paul Daniel Maggard, Jr. Blanche was a personal caretaker and was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Blanche is survived by her two daughters, Glenna Maggard of Huntington, WV and Sharon (J.A.) Blevins of Tazewell, TN; two step-sons, Richard William Flury of California and Larry Dean Flury of Grayson; a step-daughter, Gloria Marie Bagwell of Arizona; a sister, Rubie Darlene Gollihue of Grayson; three grandchildren, Amy Bowling and Kelley Perry both of Grayson and Ali Blevins of Knoxville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Addison Perry and Jeremiah Perry; and several nieces and nephews who all mourn her passing. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday January 11, 2020 at the Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey King officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11 am Saturday until the service hour.
