Alice L. Allen

Alice Lena Allen, 66, Chanute, died June 26, at KU Medical Center.

She was born December 24, 1920 at LaHarpe, the daughter of Ross F. Laver and Stella A. Sears. She has been a lifetime resident of this area.

Allen was a member of VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Grant Ave. Baptist Church of Chanute.

Her occupation was an Older Workers Specialist with Kansas Green Thumbs.

Survivors include: husband J.W. Fisher of the home, one son Robert R. Allen, Chanute, six daughters, Juanita Barker, Mildred Moore of Chanute, Marjorie Mullins of Hoxsie, Ks., Barbara Culp, Petrolia, Cheryl Allen, Tulsa, Ok., Sharon Compion, LaMirada, Calif., : three brothers, Clyde Laver, Ray Laver of Humboldt, Ralph Laver Provo Utah, five sisters, Cora Seasteadt, Ethel Barnett, Mildred Romine all of Humboldt, Margaret Ludum, LaHarpe, Ruth Venable Okla. City, Okla. 20 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters, two grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday June 30 at 10:00 at Grant Avenue Baptist Church, Rev. R.A. Pefley officiated. Burial was held at Maple Grove Cemetery.
